CLIENT CODE OF CONDUCT
All clients agree to follow the Client Code of Conduct. Failure to respect the client code of conduct may result in suspension or refusal of service. All clients agree to the following:
- Treat fellow clients and Dovercourt staff, volunteers and partners with respect and courtesy. Unsociable behaviour, including harassing or threatening clients or staff, is not acceptable.
- Meet acceptable levels of personal hygiene or dress, in the interests of your health and safety and the interests of other clients using Dovercourt facilities. Refrain from use of perfumes or colognes that may affect other clients.
- Respect the needs of other clients for the enjoyment of the programs and facility. Disruptive behaviour and excessive noise are not acceptable.
- Take care of Dovercourt's facility, equipment and furniture. These are community assets that are meant to be shared.
- In our programs, respect our allergy aware policy. For registered programs, participants will be informed of any food or drink restrictions that may apply to ensure the safety of those suffering from allergies.
- Keep valuable items with you at all times. Dovercourt is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Children are required to be supervised in the public spaces of Dovercourt. While staff supervise programs, children's use of the lobby, washrooms and corridors at Dovercourt require parental/guardian supervision.
- Maintain the confidentiality of other clients and staff.
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Full credit, or refunds less a $20 admin fee, will be provided on purchases up to 21 days in advance of the program start date, unless otherwise stated. This may be updated from time to time, and reflected on receipts at the time of purchase.
- Pro-rated refunds will be given with a medical certificate for all programs.
- Pool passes, Fitness Centre passes, and Pay In Full passes are non-refundable.
- A $10 NSF fee will apply to the account holder of all failed EFT or cheque payments.
- Registered participants waive any claims upon Dovercourt Recreation Association, the City of Ottawa, and any of their agents in the event of personal injury, loss, or damage of belongings while participating in their programs
- Dovercourt Recreation Association (DRA) reserves the right to use photographs and videos of our programs and special events for promotional purposes, which may include members of these programs.
- 21 days' written notice is required for cancellation or suspensions of all recurring memberships, unless otherwise stated.
